FAQs

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT'S THE PROCEDURE AFTER THE PURCHASE?
After the purchase you will receive an email from me as confirmation. Then, depending on the price, size and medium of the work, I start processing the order – wrapping, packing etc. I will provide you with the best rates for shipping in terms of cost and/or timeframe. Once the buyer has selected which shipping method they prefer, I will send out an additional invoice for shipping. As soon as the invoice is paid and work is ready for dispatch and the shipping has been arranged, you will receive a confirmation email from me with which carrier the shipment is being made, as well as a tracking ID with which you can track the shipment.

ARE SALES ALL FINAL? In most cases, yes. Once a purchase has been completed the sale is over. I will work with you should extenuating circumstances occur but prefer to answer any and all questions prior to making a purchase of any original works of art – within 14 days of the original purchase date and in original condition. Shipping arrangement and insurance must be paid should a piece be returned under this discretion.

I am happy to provide additional photographs, details, and shipping quotes in order to ensure a smooth checkout experience. After all, it is my greatest wish that any of my works are going to homes that sincerely want a piece of my art.

WHICH COUNTRIES DO YOU SHIP TO? Works can be sent to almost any country in the world. I work with experienced service providers such as USPS, UPS & FEDEX who deliver to most countries in the world and also organize customs clearance. Please contact me before making a purchase to ensure any work can safely be sent to your location. Additionally, if you prefer to arrange your own pick up, I am happy to work with a courier of your choice once details are provided.

CAN I HANG MY NEW PICTURE IMMEDIATELY?
Paintings on stretcher frames are stretched and sent ready to hang. Depending on the size of the piece and if it is hand-stretched, the painting can be removed from the frame and rolled. However, please be aware that rolled works must be re-stretched. This is usually done by professional framing studio that also have the appropriate stretcher bars available as I do not ship the stretcher bars along with the canvas. Works on paper are usually unframed. Please note the respective information on shipping or framing in the description, if in doubt, please contact me before buying.

I DO NOT LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES, ARE THERE ADDITIONAL COSTS?
Additional costs may apply depending on which country the image is imported into. There are countries into which art can be imported entirely without import taxes or up to a certain amount without taxes. Please inform yourself about this at your customs authority. If import taxes have to be paid, the service provider commissioned with the transport will organize this in coordination with customs so that you can pay the payment quickly and easily. Then the delivery takes place.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE WORK TO ARRIVE?
As a rule, a larger work is ready for dispatch after 2 - 3 days. The transport itself usually takes another 5 - 7 days depending on the rate and the shipper. If the work is traveling internationally, this can take longer if the customs clearance volume in the importing country increases. This depends on the size of the picture (the larger, the longer the packaging can take) and also on the price. Above a certain value, the corresponding documents must be enclosed with the image for export or import, which must also be created first.
